Looking for a Mother's Day Gift for a New Mom?

Most new moms probably just want some rest and pampering for Mother's Day. If you are able to provide this for the new mom in your life please do! If rest and pampering are hard to come by, or you just want to add a little something extra, here are a few more mother's day gift ideas for a new mom. These gifts will work for a baby shower or any other time as well. We should celebrate the moms in our lives every day 🙂

These gifts are items that some women might not buy for themselves, but can definitely use. Of course these will work for any mom new or experienced, but many of these items are best during the young baby and toddler stage. All of these items are products I already own or have checked out throughly, since I prefer to recommend products I love myself.

Heart necklace or any jewelry

If the new mom in your life is anything like me, jewelry is probably always a great gift. I love this heart pendant with a beautiful quote about motherhood.

"A Mother Holds Her Childs Hand for A Short While and Their Hearts Forever"

It comes in Sterling Silver, Rose plated or Gold plated over sterling. And you can find it here at a very reasonable cost.

Nursing Pajamas

I love nursing pajamas. They really can last beyond nursing. At least for me they do. I use them during pregnancy, breastfeeding and beyond. I mean who doesn't love comfy pj's?

I have these Motherhood Maternity pajamas and I love the versatility of the three piece set.

Sakura Bloom Ring Sling

If you read my blog at all you already know I love Sakura Bloom ring slings.

This is a splurge, but also a very useful splurge, that most mothers will get a ton of use from. Not only can you wear your baby in a ring sling, but you can nurse in it, using it as a nursing cover, use it as a blanket, a changing pad in a pinch.. the options are endless. You can find it here.

A fancy diaper bag or stylish breast pump bag

I love bags. Before I had kids purses were my choice of course. But now with two kids to tote around and all of their stuff, I really need a diaper bag. I wasn't too thrilled with the plastic looking ugly choices. So I decided to make my diaper bag double as my purse, and invest in a couple of nice ones.

This Kate Spade Stevie bag is my hands down favorite. It is lightweight and extremely versatile. It has stroller straps, tons of pockets, a very nice changing pad and is completely waterproof on the inside. While it does not have a cross body strap (which is something I like) I can actually attach the stroller straps to each other and make a longer strap. It also comes in black, polka dot and a few other choices. Oh, and the best part? It doesn't look or feel like a diaper bag at all.

I have already written about stylish breast pump bags before and Sarah Wells really nails it with the "Lizzy" breast pump bag. It is stylish, durable and waterproof. It has tons of room for a pump and all of your supplies and cooling pockets on either side. It also has the cross body strap in addition to shoulder straps.
