    Product Features

The Medela Harmony Manual Breast Pump is a small, quiet manual pump. It is meant for occasional use. It has a small amount of pieces to assemble, keeping it simple to get started pumping quickly. It is BPA free and is easily converted to an electric pump with the use of the Symphony conversion kit which is purchased separately. It has two modes, a stimulation mode to encourage milk let down, and expression mode for regular pumping. The pump comes with all pieces of the pump, an instruction manual, breastfeeding information guide, two storage containers and lids, and a stand for the pump.

    My Thoughts

I love this pump and find myself using it much more than my double electric pump. It’s great for when you need something small and discreet. It’s very lightweight and the pieces break down into six tiny pieces including the bottle. I have broken it down and put in a baggy to slip into my purse for a night out. I have used it everywhere from a restaurant to a football game and of course for occasional pumping at home. I thought I loved my double electric pump but once I got this I found myself using it much more. I am able to pump several ounces in 5-10 minutes per side. If you pump several times a day this will be more for supplemental use but still a great pump all around.

    The Pros

    •    Small and lightweightOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA.
    •    Affordable.
    •    Discreet and quiet.
    •    Simple to set up and clean.
    •    Comfortable.
    •    BPA free.
    •    Compatible with other Medela pumps and accessories.

    The Cons

I cannot find much negative to say about this Medela pump. It’s not an electric pump so it will not pump quite as much or as quickly as an electric. It is manual so you will have to pump each side individually.

    Conclusion

A great choice for a manual pump for occasional use. You cannot go wrong with a Medela product as they are a leader in breastfeeding supplies.

This pump also has great user reviews. If you are undecided you can read more reviews here.

Have you used this pump? Please let me know what you think and if you have any questions about the Medela Harmony pump.

[…] Now that my second baby is about to turn one I doubt I will be using my double electric pump much in the future. I have no interest in weaning anytime soon but I doubt the need to pump will arise much. If it does I always have my manual pump. […]
