Eliclaire Baby Wrap Carrier

I received an Eliclaire Baby Wrap to try in exchange for my opinion. All opinions are my own as always.

I have to admit I had never heard of the Eliclaire Baby Wrap carrier until recently. When the company offered me a wrap to try I was excited since I was almost due with my third baby. I love using wraps during the newborn stage so it was perfect timing. I received the wrap and tried it out, but of course I could not fully review it until I got the chance to use it with my baby. My review:

I love baby wearing. The benefits to baby and mom are wonderful. Once I had more than one baby it became a critical tool to deal with my kids and have my newborn happy being worn on me. I have worn all three of my babies into toddlerhood and have tried many different pieces of gear.

Stretchy wraps are one of my favorite types of carriers for the newborn till about 15 pounds stage. While you can wear them longer (weight limit is 35 pounds for the Eliclaire) I prefer something more structured once my baby is bigger. Wraps involve one long piece of fabric that is tied around you, over both shoulders, and distributes the weight evenly that way. Wraps do have a bit of a learning curve when it comes to tying them. The first time I used a wrap this was overwhelming to me, but once you practice a few times it becomes easy and second nature when putting it on. If you're interested in a wrap I would not let the fact that it needs to be tied intimidate you.

I have given the Eliclaire baby wrap a try and I am impressed with the fabric, the support, and the function. As I said above it does need to be tied the same as any stretchy wrap. There are a couple of ways to do this and the baby wrap comes with directions. Since I am experienced with wraps I had it on within minutes or less. I did not find this wrap hard to tie at all compared to others I have used. The wrap ships with a bag to carry it in as well. I love the softness of the fabric and it seems a bit lighter weight to me than some of the other brands which is nice for summer.

This is a great wrap to try out if you are new to baby wraps with a low price point. As of now it only comes in a grey color. As far as how it compares to the Boba or Moby it seems a little lighter weight than the Boba and more stretchy than the Moby. And, it is more affordable.
