I previously wrote a post about donating and recycling breast pumps as many moms want to know if there is a less wasteful way to get rid of old breast pumps, or pumps they do not want.
A pump supplier company, Breast Pumps Direct, is offering a donation option which may interest some moms.
They offer a program called Chance to Choose which allows moms to trade in insurance provided breast pumps for a pump of their choosing at a discounted price. The pumps which are donated will be provided to moms in need via charity partners.
You can visit www.breastpumpsdirect.com to learn more about the trade in program. Enter your pump brand and choose a new pump at a discounted price. When the new pump arrives you will also receive a prepaid shipping label for the pump being donated.
The option to donate breast pumps to moms in need is wonderful. I know many women who have not been happy with their insurance provided choices, and ended up buying a better pump anyway.
This gives the option to do this at a discounted price and help other moms at the same time.
I asked them about donating used pumps as well as new insurance provided pumps and this was the answer I received:
The Chance to Choose program does accept used breast pumps for donations. All donated pumps are cleaned and tested in our facility to determine if they are suitable for a donation. The credit towards a new pump is applied even if the donated pump is not suitable to be donated.
I was happy to hear this and this is a great option for donating an unwanted breast pump.

Hi, do you have insurance? If so you may be able to get a breast pump for free through insurance. Another place to check is with the hospital where you gave birth. I also recommend checking with https://aeroflowbreastpumps.com/ They should be able to help you figure out if you can qualify for a free breast pump. Good luck!

Hi, this looks great! Do you take used breast pumps or only new ones?
