Since having my third baby I have tried twice to participate in a breastfeeding photo shoot. A photoshoot where a group of breastfeeding women get together and take a group shot of us all nursing our babies. The first one was back in June and I cancelled, I couldn't make it with a newborn even though I had good intentions. Then, I got another chance in September and it was cancelled. I tried rescheduling but it has not worked out.
One aspect of motherhood I have adored is the bond and closeness of breastfeeding (obviously). I have been wanting to document our breastfeeding relationship since this is the last baby I will nurse. I didn't want to miss out on this fall foliage, or wait until my baby was much bigger to get these photos, so I convinced my husband to head out with our family and have a photo shoot.
The dress I am wearing was kindly provided by Figure 8 Maternity, my favorite maternity and breastfeeding friendly shop. I have seriously been so happy with every item I have from them. The Sophie & Eve Charlotte Bamboo Maxi Nursing Dress has easy breastfeeding access as you can see in the photos. I am also wearing my grandmother's black pearls which is special to me since she passed away last year.
I am happy with how these turned out and thrilled to have photos of me nursing my last baby.
Let me know, have you ever participated in a breastfeeding photo shoot?
