Product: Aden + Anais Classic Muslin Swaddle Blanket
    Cheapest Place to Buy:
    Amazon
    My Rating:
    10 out of 10

    Aden+Anais

I love Aden + Anais Swaddle blankets. They have so many uses and are so soft. You may not think of a blanket as a breastfeeding product but I definitely use Aden + Anais swaddles for breastfeeding. They work as a cover or a burp cloth or just something for my baby to clutch onto while feeding.

The Aden + Anais product line has really expanded from when I started out with the classic swaddle blankets. The blankets now also come in bamboo, merino, organic, and cozy. In addition to the swaddle blankets, Aden + Anais carries many other awesome types of blankets and products ranging from bibs to swaddle sleeping bags. For this review however, I am focusing on the classic swaddle blanket that started it all.

    Features

The classic swaddle blanket is the original, award winning, single-layer 100% cotton muslin swaddle. According to Aden + Anais, they are the ultimate in quality, breath-ability and versatility. The breathable fabric helps prevent over heating.

They come in a seemingly unlimited range of styles and colors so you are sure to find something you like. I have even heard of people collecting all the different colors and styles.

    My Thoughts

I didn’t know it was possible to love a baby blanket so much. I had seen these but did not pick any up until after my daughter was born. Not only have I used them as a nursing cover but it’s so handy to have a blanket, nursing cover, and burp cloth all in one.

I have also used them to swaddle both of my babies. Of all the swaddle blankets out there, these are extra large which makes it easy. These blankets have become a security item for both of my babies. My toddler still sleeps with one. So they have lasted from birth through toddler hood and still going strong.

I seriously consider these a must have baby item.

    Uses for Breastfeeding Aden+AnaisSwaddle

The Aden + Anais swaddle blanket makes a great breastfeeding cover. Just fold it in the shape of a triangle and tie the ends together if you want to wrap it around your neck. Otherwise, you can easily just drape the blanket over your baby and cover yourself too. Since they are so breathable I always found this much easier to deal with in public than a hot nursing cover.

Having a light weight blanket over your baby does not scream nursing cover either, which can draw unnecessary attention to yourself. Plus, the multiple uses of this blanket means I am packing one thing instead of an additional nursing cover and burp cloth. It really does work as all three.

Since I have such a stash of these now it’s easy to swap them out as soon as they get dirty. The more you wash them the softer they get. I always carry one of these with me and my baby and toddler both love them.

    Conclusion

While these are a little expensive at the retail price, I really think it’s worth it. They are such a great item that can be used for multiple uses, and an Aden + Anais swaddle may be the only nursing cover you need and you can get them discounted on Amazon.

If you want to save even more money you can try the Aden by Aden + Anais product line. These are almost the same blanket but a little bit smaller and thinner. You can find these here.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the Aden + Anais swaddle blankets and how I use them as a nursing cover. Thanks!
