My First Baby is Starting Preschool! An Adorable Way to Wish Good Luck on Her First Day

Well it's hard to believe but my daughter, my first baby, is starting preschool next month! This is a big milestone for us. As a stay at home mom I plan many activities with my kids and enjoy spending my days with them. Now that my daughter is heading to preschool we won't be doing quite as much together during the week. It feels like the first push towards her independence and leaving the nest. Okay, I exaggerate, but I am sure all parents can relate. She has not attended daycare and I know the socialization and activities will be good for her. She is ready, but I am not!

I have to get ready for this next stage of my daughter attending preschool. We have been preparing by buying all of our supplies and getting very excited about school. So far we have picked up a backpack, lunchbox, lunch containers, clothing labels and of course some new clothes. It's been fun shopping together and picking everything out and she seems more than ready. We'll have a new routine soon and I am going to have to get used to it.

As we prepare, I have been racking my brain, trying to think of a cute and memorable way for long distance (and close) family to wish her good luck. I know, it's only preschool but it's still a big first in our family.

When I came across CloudPets™ it seemed perfect. CloudPets™ are adorable stuffed animals with a twist. They are a new, one-of-a-kind product that keeps loved ones in touch when far away. They have a corresponding phone application that allows family and friends to record and send messages to the pet. When a message arrives my daughter can play it and even respond by recording a message to send back to them. Now I can send her fun, encouraging messages whenever I want and family members I allow can send them to her too. I have asked our family to record and send thoughts to her wishing her good luck at preschool. I am hoping to play these for her in the days leading up to her first day.

She had already eyed CloudPets™ on TV so I had a lot of fun surprising her. I was able to find the Unicorn which is exclusive to Walmart, but there are many to choose from. I had trouble deciding between the Kitty, Puppy and Unicorn. I can see I made the right choice, since she is obsessed with purple and horses right now the Unicorn was perfect. She even named her Rapunzel.

I love the app, it is easy to use and has full parental control so she only receives messages after I invite family members and approve their messages. The newest version of the app also includes lullabies and games. We had fun testing out the games and sounds and now my son wants one too...of course!

CloudPets™ are currently only in select Walmart stores but they will be available nationwide soon. It uses three AA batteries so no need to plug anything in or charge anything.

This is such an adorable gift and my daughter loves it. I can't wait to see her reaction as her family wishes her good luck on her first day of preschool. This is such a big transition for us (me?!) and I am glad I was able to find such a cute way to send her off.
