If there is one thing we love when pregnant and breastfeeding, it is soft, stylish and comfortable clothing! Even better if it can transition from maternity wear to nursing wear. Since we spend a lot of time at home with our babies in those early weeks it makes sense to treat ourselves to some maternity and nursing pajamas.
I'm not sure I would have bought pajamas for myself, but I received nursing pajamas as a gift when I was pregnant with my first baby and it was love! I wore them so much while pregnant and nursing, and I still wear them now 3 plus years later.
I have picked up a few more sets of nursing pajamas during my subsequent years pregnant and breastfeeding. That's the thing about pajamas or loungewear. You can get so much use out of them. I wore them while pregnant, I wore them at the hospital, I wore them for nursing, and now I still wear them to bed and lounging because they are comfortable and stylish. I am still nursing, but I would wear them even if I wasn't. Most of these pajamas and loungewear can transition easily from pregnancy to nursing since they are meant to be loose, and made out of soft fabrics like cotton with just the right amount of stretch.
There are so many cute and stylish options that it can be a little overwhelming. Amazon definitely has a good selection, but one of the best places I have found for a huge selection of styles is Figure 8 Maternity.
I discovered this online maternity and nursing shop when I was pregnant with my second baby, and I wish I had known about it sooner. They carry maternity and nursing wear, as well as nursing bras and other accessories. The customer service is excellent and they have free shipping and returns. Even the packaging that their clothes come in is adorable, with a small flower attached (fake of course). Figure 8 Maternity has one of the largest selections of maternity and nursing pajamas that I have found anywhere.
Here is just a small sampling of the types of nursing pajamas available:
Belabumbum Dottie Nursing Cami & Short Set
A summery option with shorts and a cami.
Mackenna 4-pc. Nursing PJ Set with Baby Outfit and Gift Box
This set comes with a top, pants, robe and a matching outfit for baby with a gift box.
Belabumbum Ikat Nursing Cami & Pant Set
I LOVE the colors and patterns of this one. The Belabumbum brand has some of the most stylish nursing PJ's I have seen.
Roxanne 4-pc. Nursing PJ Set with Gift Bag
This is another gift set that comes with a top, pants, robe and matching outfit for baby.
If you prefer to check out Amazon they also have an extensive selection of nursing pajamas. I noticed that many of them are actually fulfilled by Figure 8 Maternity and the pricing is very similar.
Amazon has a large selection of the Majamas brand which is very popular.
Amazon also has the Baby Be Mine line which is extremely popular and affordable.
As I said, there are so many choices it can be overwhelming. I personally have four very well worn sets of nursing pajamas. Nursing pajamas are one of my favorite must have items as a pregnant and breastfeeding mother.
Maternity and nursing pajamas also make a great baby shower, or anytime gift, for an expecting or new mom. Please let me know if you have any questions or thoughts about these PJ's! Jen

My issue is length! No one makes nursing pajamas for tall women :( Some of these are super cute though. I'll check them out and look for inseam lengths.

Definitely! Moms do more in pj's than most people do all day so there is no reason not to look good. We love these! http://www.amamante.com

cannot wait to share this with my sister. Comfortable nursing pajamas are practically number 1 on my list for the same reasons you've stated.
