Pregnancy and childbirth is one of the most exciting and rewarding times in a woman's life. During pregnancy there is an issue that many of us experience.. that is stress urinary incontinence (SUI) or in other words, leaking urine. Stress incontinence happens when physical movement puts pressure (stress) on your bladder. For some women this an issue they continue to face after childbirth. In fact childbirth is one of the leading causes of SUI since it weakens the pelvic floor muscles. I experienced plenty of leakage during pregnancy, especially during my second pregnancy. After having my baby I have not had to deal with this, but I have heard from women in some of my moms groups that this is an issue they continue to face.

I recently heard about a new product that is designed to help women suffering from SUI/leaking urine caused by coughing, sneezing, dancing, laughing or exercise. Poise Impressa Bladder Supports are a soft flexible, internal device with a non-absorbent outer cover, designed for the temporary management of SUI. When I heard of these I knew they could be life changing for my readers and any women suffering from SUI after childbirth. Now you CANNOT use them while you are pregnant. I want to emphasize this fact, but they can be used and be a huge help once you are 3 months postpartum.

I have heard friends discuss how they do not feel as confident exercising after having children and dealing with SUI. I am sure this is something that many women deal with but do not discuss often. I am excited to share this product with them and I believe this can help many feel more confident when they do not have to worry about leaking caused by everyday activities.

More information about Poise Impressa Bladder Supports

They look similar to a tampon and are inserted similarly but they are not a tampon, and cannot be used during your period. They do not absorb leaks, they are designed to prevent them. You can see how they work by watching this video.

They can be worn up to 8 hours in a 24 hour period.

You do not need to remove them while using the bathroom and the design allows you to use the bathroom normally.

So you might be wondering how you get started? Poise Impressa has a sizing kit that allows you to determine which size you will need.

I headed to CVS to purchase a kit and give it a try. They were easy to find in the adult care aisle. Right now there is a $1 off the Poise Impressa Starter Kit printable coupon at CVS, available until all are claimed.

Once you find your correct size you can move on to a 10 count pack in your unique size. You will need to use the sizing kit to determine the right fit, it is not something you can tell based on your height or weight.

Here is how to use the kit:

Step 1: Starting with size 1, insert the Bladder Support just like you would a tampon.

Step 2: The non-absorbent Bladder Support expands to support the urethra.

Step 3: If you still experience leaks, then progress to size 2. Repeat until you've found the perfect size that works for you.

Step 4: To remove, pull on the string and dispose of the bladder support in the trash.

I hope this information is helpful to my readers. I know what leakage feels like and it is not fun. While Poise Impressa cannot be used during pregnancy, it can be used afterwards if you continue to experience SUI. Remember if you experience any bladder leakage when you laugh, cough, dance, sneeze or exercise, Poise Impressa Bladder Supports are for you.

Please check out Poise Impressa if this sounds like something that can help you! I truly believe this is a revolutionary product that can help women dealing with SUI.

This is such a common issue. I know a ton of women who suffer with SUI, as well, and I love that there's a solution available for them now. #client
